Create a Stock item

To create new Stock select ‘Products’ you can then view the Stock listed by category. Selecting one of these categories will expand it to show all of those stock items within that category. Selecting the yellow folder next to that stock item will bring up the details for editing.

Stock items can be stored in folders known as categories. If you haven't imported Stock into the system you will be met with 2 buttons (create stock and create category). It is usually best to create a category first however if you have limited Stock you may wish to keep it all on the root level of the filing structure. When adding a category just right click ‘new category’ and fill in the name of the new category and it will be created.

When adding a Stock item some of the fields are compulsory like Internal Stock Code, Description and Tax Code. Once you have added your first Stock item or category you can right click and add more. New items will be added at the bottom of the table.

A Stock item can be right-clicked or double clicked to edit. To move stock around the folder structure just highlight the stock item and drag it to its new folder location. To move multiple items hold ctrl or shift (cmd or opt) and select multiple items then drag and drop them to the new folder location. To sort a column you can click the column title which will sort the contents of your table ascending click again for descending. You can also filter your stock by using the search box under the category and internal stock code column.

When removing items from the table the folders have to be empty. You must reallocate or remove the stock from the system to delete the category/folder. If you remove all the stock and categories from the system you will be presented with the 2 buttons (create stock and create category) to get you started.

The second tab in that view will list any stock items that are in need of attention, such as low stock levels or high stock levels.
