The Prospects Module contains all of you sales leads. BusinessMan has a comprehensive prospecting module where all your prospective customers are managed. Full details of the potential customer, whether it is an individual or a company are located here. They can be sorted and classified by many criteria and FileMakers' search facilities make locating your prospect a breeze.

Summary

You can send emails and letters to your prospect and they can even be included in a template or marketing campaign.

Quotes can be created from here and should the prospect accept the quote, the record can be added directly to the customer module at the push of a button. When the prospect is added to the customer, the communications and the quote are also taken along with them.

Notes can be made against the prospect so all staff can easily be brought up to date with the communications and events regarding this record.

In addition, there is a "Next Call" feature, the same as that in the Customer module, which allows you to create call reminders for the future. The call can be allocated to anyone in the sales team or you can set a reminder for yourself. At the chosen interval, before the call is due, a "popup" will remind you that you need to make the call.

If you have a compatible phone system, you can press a button and the call will be amended through you internal exchange (Windows Only). It is also possible to make Skype calls and send SMS messages (SMS gateway required) from here.

The location of the prospect can also be shown based on the postal / zip code, with Google Maps integration.

If the prospect has a web site, it is also possible to view it from here.

Quotations can be created against prospects. Should the prospect convert into a customer after purchasing a product or service, simply click 'Add to Customers'. All prospect data, including quotations and communications are then transferred to the new customer record.

You can create a Vcard from prospects to save or email.

Prospects allows users to add prospective new customers. In this view you can add notes, outstanding calls and this view shows the next stage of interaction with the prospective customer.

Prospects Overview

Moving back to the main menu we can now select the prospects module.

The prospects module has a similar layout to the customer. Navigation principles are the same and the main customer information is in the same area of the screen as in customers.

It is also possible to set call reminders for the prospect and instigate communications and create quotes. Comprehensive search facilities are also available to assist in the process of working with your prospects. Prospects can be rated from 1 to 10 depending on how hot or cold the prospect is then they can also be sorted in the list on the left by this rating.

If you create a quote to the prospect from here and the prospect accepts that quote, at the press of a button you can now add that prospect to your customer module taking with it your quote and communications once the prospect is a customer you may then create an order from the quote.

It is also possible to import prospects from mailing lists or other data sources.
