How to Run As Administrator

When using Windows Vista or later, you may be required to run the application as an Administrator. This may be to install plug-ins for the application or similar tasks.

To Run As Administrator on Vista or later:

  • Right click on the application icon (For example: on the desktop)
  • A popup menu will now appear
  • Select Run As Administrator... from the list
  • The application will now have the privileges to perform the related task.

Usually, the application should be able to run just by double clicking the application icon.

From the desktop:

Run As Administrator

From the file directory listing:

Run As Administrator
