Within any quotation, there is a checkbox with is called Mark as Template. Mark as Template will allow the user to select quotations that have been created and use them for repetitive quotations later. This will import the line items into other Quotations, to speedily create comprehensive quotations.
Example of use:
- Create a sample quotation for your company (create your company as a customer if not already)
- Add some line items to the quotation (No need to add pricing information, as this may change, and the new prices can be used when selecting from a quotation template, to ensure the up to date prices are used.)
- Give the quotation a detailed description so it can be understood for selection later
- Click “Quote Template” check box
- Save and close the quotation to store it for later reference
To Use:
- Create a new quotation for a customer or prospect
- Click “Inset Template”
- This will display a list of all quotations that have been Marked as Template
- Select the required quotation (or open the quotation to view the line items to ensure this is correct)
- The line items, images and text detail from the selected quotation template will be added into the current quotation, with the choice to use the latest prices for the line items.
Quotation templates should be generic, and therefore not relate to a specific customer requirements. The quotation can be tailored once the generic contact has been selected from the original template.
