BusinessMan Import Costs
Inventory/Stock Costs can change frequently and en mass. To update the costs within BusinessMan, follow the below document with caution. Importing data into your stock/inventory data is done by matching the data in the Excel file against the field headings in BusinessMan.
Inventory/Stock can be imported into BusinessMan by following the below actions should you have the correct privileges.
Export Costs
To begin, first of all the costs will need to be exported. This can be done from the Stock/Inventory Module, providing the user has sufficient rights.

This file will be saved to your desktop.
Modify the costs as required, then save the file.
Import Costs
When ready, the user can click Import Costs from the Stock/Inventory Module, providing the user has sufficient rights.

The user will be prompted with an import dialog:

Select “matching names” from the Arrange by: selection box. This will “align” all field headings and map the data to be imported into the correct field.
Now select the following options:
- Update matching records in found set
- Tick the box: Don’t import first record (contains field names)
- Click the Internal_Stk_Code mapping at the top of the list, so that an “equals” sign appears.

You will notice that the “Arrange by:” option will change to “customer import order”. This is fine and is normal behaviour:
Click Import.
Another box will appear called “Import Options”. Tick the Perform auto-enter options while importing.

Click Import.
The costs will now be updated in BusinessMan.
Caution:
Failure to follow the above procedure may result in a loss of data. To rectify any data issues as a result of
the above is not covered under your support contract. This will be chargeable development to correct
(if correction is possible).
